IN TROPIC WE TRUST: OUR PLEDGES FOR 2021
2020 was a year we’ll never forget for many reasons. Amid the world turning upside down, we strived to do what we do best: create freshly made beauty which does good at home and across the globe.
As you may know, Tropic has an Infinite Purpose, to help create a healthier, greener, and more empowered world. For 2021, we want to lay out how we’re continuing to be a force for good beyond beauty.
We’re investing more than ever in our formulations, and throughout the year will be improving the efficacy of fan favourites so they’re greater than ever before, using cutting-edge botanical actives. We’re also set to roll out our first COSMOS certified products – the ultimate certification of sustainable practices!
Building on our CarbonNeutral® initiatives, we’re going to make the UK a greener place, initiating exciting new eco projects. As we also continue to grow and expand our HQ, we will continue to power it all using only 100 percent sustainable energy, remaining completely landfill free. We’re also turning our eyes to our packaging, looking at new ways to make it even more sustainable.
Despite all the potential disruption that 2020 brought, our partnership with United World Schools flourished, exceeding our school days goal by more than double – we’ve raised over 2.5 million days and helped to teach 12,500 children for an entire year. We’ve also got our eyes on helping to fund and build a new school in Nepal.
Back at home we will publish a diversity breakdown of our HQ Tropic Team, with statistics on our gender equality pay. This will ensure we’re meeting our commitment to everyone reaching their full potential.
We think that’s a pretty inspiring way to start 2021, so here’s to creating a healthier, greener, more empowered world every step of the way!
